Virtues of Makkah

  1. While departing from Makkah, Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) halted on a plateau, faced the Qibla and said: "By Allah! You are the most beloved portion of Allah's earth to me, and verily you are the most beloved portion of the earth to Allah too. Verily you are the best, spot on the face of the earth. And the most beloved to Allah. If your people did not expel me, I would not have departed from you." (Al-Muatta)
  2. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated in a Hadith- "The best and the most beloved city on the face of this earth to Allah is Makkah." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
  3. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated: "The earth was rolled out from Makkah. Allah stretched (the earth) from underneath it. Thus it is called the mother of all cities." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
  4. "The first mountain that was placed on the earth was Abu Qubais." (Ibn Abi Shiba, Ibn Abi Hatim and Dailmi from Ibn Abbas.) (Abu Qubais is the name of a mountain near Makkah.)
  5. "The angels were the first beings to circumambulate around the sacred house, two thousand years before Allah created Adam." (Ibn Abi Duniya from Anas lbn Abi Shiba from lbn Abass/ Shafi from Ka-ab Alqirti)
  6. "Around the Ka'bah lyes the graves of three hundred prophets." (Sahih Muslim / Bayhaqi)
  7. "There is no city on earth to which all the prophets, the angels, the holy messengers and all the pious servants of Allah, who reside in the heavens and on earth, including the jinn, flocked to, except Makkah." (Sunan Ibn Majah)
  8. "There is no city on earth through which Allah multiplies one good deed by a hundred thousand except Makkah." (Sahih Bukhari , lbn Hibban)
  9. "Whosoever offers a salat therein, then that salat is enhanced a hundred thousand fold over." (Sahih Muslim / Sunan Nisai)
  10. "Whosoever gives one dirham therein in charity, Allah writes for him the reward of having spent a hundred thousand dirhams in charity." (Ibn Abi Zubair in the Jamul Latif from Sunan Tirmizi)
  11. "Anyone who completes the recitation of the full Qur'an once therein, AIIah records for him the reward of a hundred thousand recitations." (Baihaqi , lbn Majah)
  12. "Whosoever glorifies Allah once therein, for him is recorded the rewards of having glorified Allah hundred thousand times elsewhere. Every good deed which a servant enacts in the haram is equivalent to a hundred thousand deeds enacted elsewhere." (Sunan Nasai)
  13. "Each pious deed performed therein is multiplied a hundred thousand fold." (Sunan Abu Dawud)
  14. "It is not known of any other city from which Allah will, on the day of Qiyamah, resurrect as many Ambiya, Allah-fearing souls, pious people, truthful ones, martyrs, religious people, Ulama, jurists, sages, ascetics, devotees, pilgrims, chosen ones and mystics, both males and females as Makkah. Verily they will be resurrected in a state wherein they will be safe from Allah's punishment." (Sahih Bukhari , Sahih Muslim)
  15. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated: "The best, purest, holiest and closest spot to Allah, is the place between the Marwah and the Maqam." (Sahih Bukhari , Sunan Ibn Majah)
  16. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated: "The space between the Ruknul Yamani and the Hajre Aswad is a garden from the gardens of Jannah." (Sahih Muslim, Sunan Tirmizi)
  17. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated: "A person who passed away while performing the hajj or umrah will not be questioned (in the qabr) nor will any reckoning be taken from him (on the day of Qiyamah). He will be told: "Enter Jannah in peace with those who have attained salvation." (Bayhaqi)
  18. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated:"Anyone who observes the fasts of the month of Ramadan in Makkah, Allah records for him the reward of a hundred thousand months of fasting in any other city." (Sunan Ibn Majah)
  19. "The salat offered in Musjid-ul-Haram is increased by a hundred thousand salaah. For verily one obtains one hundred and fifty million (150 000 000) rewards for a salaah offered therein." (Sahih Bukhari , Sahih Muslim)
  20. "Anyone who falls ill in Makkah for one day, Allah renders his body and his flesh haram (forbidden) from the fire of Jahannam." (Sahih Bukhari)
  21. Rasullullah( sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) stated: "Anyone who falls ill in Makkah for one day, Allah records for that person the rewards of having done good deeds equivalent to sixty years worship in any other place." (Muatta)
  22. "Anyone who endures the heat of Makkah with patience for an hour of the day, Allah will distance that person from the fire of Jahannam by a distance of a journey of five hundred years and bring him closer to Jannah by a distance of a journey of two hundred years. Indeed Makkah and Madinah eject any impurities within them like flames eject rust from iron. Understand carefully! Difficulties and calamities abounded in Makkah right from its inception. Great stages are realised by enduring these difficulties. " (Sahih Muslim)
  23. "Anyone who endures any difficulty experienced in Makkah (with patience), I will intercede and bear witness for him on the day of Qiyamat." (Sunan ibn Majah)
  24. "The best valley on the face of this earth is the valley of lbrahim(alaihis salaam)." (Sahih Bukhari, Sunan Tirmizi)
  25. "The best well on the face of this earth is the well of Zamzam." (Sahih Muslim)
  26. "For verily, anyone who touches the Hajre Aswad is cleansed of his sins just as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him." (Musnad lmam Ahmad)
  27. "There is no city in the world in which one finds an object, which when touched by any human being, cleanses him of his sins and leaves him in the same state as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him, except Makkah." (Muatta)
  28. "There is no city on the face of this earth in which a person offers a salah in accordance with a command which Allah issued to his Nabi Sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam except Makkah." (Sunan Ibn Majah)
  29. "Anyone who offers salah behind the Maqam has attained safety." (Sahih Bukhari, Sunan Nisai)
  30. "The most beloved spot to Allah is the area between the Maqam-e-lbrahim and the Multazam." (Sunan Tirmizi , Abu Dawud)

HOW TO BECOME A MUSLIM

All praises be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad His last messenger.
The objective of this handout is to correct a false idea spread among those willing to adopt Islam as their faith. Some people are facing difficulties on the basis of their mistaken belief that entering into the Islamic fold requires an announcement from the concerned person in the presence of high ranking scholars or sheikhs or reporting this act to courts of justice or other authorities. It is also thought that the act of accepting Islam, should, as a condition have a certificate issued by the authorities as an evidence to that effect.
We wish to clarify that the whole matter is very easy and that none of the above mentioned conditions or obligations are required. For Allah; the Almighty, is above all comprehension and knows well the secrets of all hearts. Nevertheless, those who are going to adopt Islam as their religion are Muslims with the concerned governmental agency, as this procedure may facilitate for them many matters including the possibility of performing Hajj and Umrah.
If anyone has a real desire to be a Muslim and has full conviction and strong belief that Islam is the true religion ordained by Allah (SWT) for all human beings, then, one should pronounce that "Shahada" (The testimony of faith) without further delay. The Holy Qur'an is explicit in this regard as Allah (SWT) has stated.
"Truly, the Religion on the sight of Allah is Islam." (3:19)
In another verse of the Holy Qur'an, Allah (SWT) has stated:
"And whosoever desires a religion other that Islam, never will it accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who are lost." (3:85)
In addition, Islam is the only Religion prevailing over all other religions. Allah (SWT) has stated in the Holy Qur'an;
"And to thee. We have sent the Book in truth, (This Qur'an) confirming the scripture that came before it, and a witness over it…" (5:48)
Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him), said:
"Islam is based on five pillars: testifying that there is no God worthy to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah and His servant; performing the prayer; paying the Zakat (obligatory charity); fasting the month of Ramadan; and perfuming Hajj."
The Shahada can be declared as follows:
''ASH-HADU ANLAA ILAHA ILLA ALLAH WA ASH HADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN ABDUHU WA RASUULUH."
The English translation is:
"I bear witness that there is no deity worthy to be worshipped but Allah, and I bear witness the Muhammad is His servant and messenger.''
However, it would not be sufficient for anyone to utter only this testimony orally either in private or in public, but rather, one should believe in it by heart with a firm conviction with the teachings of Islam in all his life he will find himself a new born person, (or new man).
This will move him to strive more and more to improve his character and draw nearer to perfection. The light of the living faith will fill his heart until be becomes the embodiment of that faith.
What would be next after declaring the testimony of faith (Shahada) and then becoming a Muslim? He should know the real concept underlying this testimony which means the Oneness of Allah and accept Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as the last of the Prophet, and meet its requirements. He must behave accordingly applying this true faith to every thing he speaks or does. What do the words of "Shahada" signify.
The significant point which every Muslim must know very well is the truth that there is no God (ditty) to be worshipped other than Allah, (Glory be Him). He is the only true God, Who Alone deserves to be worshipped, since He is the Giver of life and Sustainer and Nourisher of mankind and all creation with His unlimited bounties. Man must worship Allah, Who Alone is worthy of worship.
The second part of the "Sahada" i. e. "We ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh" means that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is the servant and chosen messenger of Allah. No one must have two opinions about this matter. In fact, the Muslim has to obey the commands of the Prophet (PBUH), to believe him in what he has said, to follow his teachings, to avoid what he has forbidden, and to worship Allah alone according to the message revealed to him.
What is the meaning of worship? It simply means rendering sincere service; showing reverence for Allah. In a deeper shade of meaning, it implies total submission and complete obedience to Allah's Commandments both in utterances and actions of man whether explicit or implicit and whether private or public.
Worship falls into two categories:
  1. Visible (manifest or outward)
  2. Invisible (concealed or inward)
Visible worship includes acts such as uttering the two parts of the "Shahada" performing prayers, giving Zakat (Obligatory charity), observing fast in the month of Ramadan, performing Hajj, recitation of the Holy Qur'an, supplication, adoring Allah by praising Him, purifying our bodies before prayers, etc.
This type of worship is associated with movement of the parts of human body, [actions].
Invisible worship is to believe in Allah, in the Day of Judgment, in the Hereafter, in the Angels, in the Books of Allah, in the Divine Decree of destiny (that good and bad are determined by Allah alone.
This type of worship does not involve movements of parts of the body but it surely has a bearing on one's heart which subsequently affects his way of life. (Beliefs).
It should be borne in mind that worship not dedicated to Allah alone, will be rejected as one form of polytheism or shirk, which amount to apostasy from the Islamic point of view.
The next step for a devotee (newly reverted to Islam) is to purify himself by taking a bath (total ablution). He should then resolve to comply with all the principles and rules of Islam in their entirety. He disowns all forms of polytheism and false beliefs. He should reject evil and be righteous. Such rejection of evil and being righteous is one of the requisites of the motto of Islam that is, Lailaha Illal Laah.
Allah has stated in the Holy Qur'an:
"… whoever disbelieves in false deities and believes in Allah, hath grasped the most trustworthy Handhold, that will never break…" (2:256)
we have to consider that when we declare from our heart that "there is no god (ditty) worthy to be worshipped but Allah." It implies on our part of love, devotion, faith and obedience to the rules of Islamic legislation which are legally binding on all Muslims. It is requirement of "there is no god worty to be worshipped but Allah," to love for the sake of Allah and to reject for the sake of Allah. This is the firmest anchor of belief which materializes the meaning of "AL-WALA and "AL-BARA". It means that a Muslim should love and be loyal to his Muslim brothers. He should, as a practice, dissociate himself completely from practices of the unbelievers and refuse to be influenced by them, both in worldly and religious matters.
We conclude with a humble prayer to Allah that He may cleanse the hearts and souls of those who are genuine seekers of truth and may He bless the community of believers. Ameen.

ISLAM and the AIM of LIFE

What is your purpose in life? What is the rationale behind our life? Why do we live in this life? These questions frequently intrigue people who try to find accurate answers.
People provide different answers to these questions. Some people believe the purpose of life is to accumulate wealth. But one may wonder: What is the purpose of life after one has collected colossal amounts of money? What then? What will the purpose be once money is gathered? If the purpose of life is to gain money, there will be no purpose after becoming wealthy. And in fact, here lies the problem of some disbelievers or misbelievers at some stage of their life, when collecting money is the target of their life. When they have collected the money they dreamt of, their life loses its purpose. They suffer from the panic of nothingness and they live in tension and restlessness.
Worshipping Allah as an Aim
On the contrary, faith in Allah gives the believer the purpose of life that he needs. In Islam, the purpose of life is to worship Allah. The term "Worship" covers all acts of obedience to Allah.
The Islamic purpose of life is a standing purpose. The true Muslim sticks to this purpose throughout all the stages of his life, whether he is a child, adolescent, adult, or an old man.
Worshipping Allah makes life purposeful and meaningful, especially within the framework of Islam. According to Islam this worldly life is just a short stage of our life. Then there is the other life. The boundary between the first and second life is the death stage, which is a transitory stage to the second life. The type of life in the second stage a person deserves depends on his deeds in the first life. At the end of the death stage comes the day of judgment. On this day, Allah rewards or punishes people according to their deeds in the first life.
The Eternity of the Second Life
The concept of the eternity of the second life has a tremendous effect on a Muslims during their first life, because Muslims believe that their first life determines the shape of their second life. In addition, this determines the shape of their second life and this determination will be through the Judgment of Allah, the All just and Almighty.
With this belief in the second life and the Day of Judgment, the Muslim's life becomes purposeful and meaningful. Moreover, the Muslim's standing purpose is to go to Paradise in the second life.
In other words, the Muslim's permanent purpose is to obey Allah, to submit to Allah, to carry out His orders, and to keep in continues contact with Him through prayers (five times a day), through fasting (one month a year), through charity (as often as possible), and through pilgrimage (once in one's life).
The Need for a Permanent Purpose
Disbelievers have purposes in their lives such as collecting money and property, indulging in sex, eating, and dancing. But all these purposes are transient and passing ones. All these purposes come and go, go up and down. Money comes and goes. Health comes and goes. Sexual activities cannot continue forever. All these lusts for money, food and sex cannot answer the individual's questions: so what? Then What?
However, Islam saves Muslims from the trouble of asking the question, because Islam makes it clear, from the very beginning, that the permanent purpose of the Muslim in this life is to obey Allah in order to go to Paradise in the second life.
We should know that the only way for our salvation in this life and in the hereafter is to know our Lord who created us, believe in Him, and worship Him alone.
We should also know our Prophet whom Allah had sent to all mankind, believe in Him and follow Him. We should, know the religion of truth which our Lord has commanded us to believe in, and practice it …

Twelve Proofs that Muhammad is a True Prophet



My brothers and sisters everywhere! With this essay, I am not singling out the adherents of Islam - to which I ascribe - but rather I am writing this essay to every man and woman throughout the whole world.
I ask Allah that He facilitates tat this essay reaches every ear, falls under the sight of every eye, and is understood by every heart...
Muhammad the son of `Abdullah is Allah's Prophet and the Final Messenger Sent by Allah to the Inhabitants of Earth.
My brothers and sisters everywhere! You should know that the Messenger, Muhammad the son of `Abdullah (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) is Allah's Messenger in reality and truth. The evidences that show his veracity are abundant. None but an infidel, who out of arrogance alone, could deny these signs.
Among these proofs:
1. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained like that till his death. Among all his people, he was known as being truthful and trustworthy. Before receiving revelation, he had no prior knowledge of Religion or any previously sent Message. He remained like that for his first forty years. Revelation then came to Muhammad with the Koran that we now have between our hands. This Koran mentioned most of the accounts found in the previous scriptures, telling us about these events in the greatest detail as if he witnessed them. These accounts came precisely as they were found in the Torah sent down to Moses and in the Gospel sent down to Jesus. Neither the Jews or Christians were able to belie him regarding anything that he said.
2. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) also foretold of everything that would occur to him and his community after him, pertaining to victory, the removal of the tyrannical kingdoms of Chosroes [the royal title for the Zoroastrian kings of Persia] and Caesar, and the establishment of the religion of Islam throughout the earth. These events occurred exactly as Muhammad foretold, as if he was reading the future from an open book.
3. Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) also brought an Arabic Koran that is the peak of eloquence and clarity. The Koran challenged those eloquent and fluent Arabs of his time, who initially belied him, to bring forth a single chapter like the Koran. The eloquent Arabs of his day were unable to contest this Koran.
Indeed, till our day, none has ever dared to claim that he has been able to compose words that equal-or even approach-the order, grace, beauty, and splendor of this Glorious Koran.
4. The life history of this Noble Prophet was a perfect example of being upright, merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, generous, distant from all evil character, and ascetic in all worldly matters, while striving solely for the reward of the Hereafter. Moreover, in all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of Allah.
5. Allah instilled great love for Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) in the hearts of all who believed in and met him. This love reached such a degree that any of his companions would willingly sacrifice his (or her) self, mother or father for him.
Till today, those who believe in Muhammad honor and love him. Anyone of those who believe in him would ransom his own family and wealth to see him, even if but once.
6. All of history has not preserved the biography of any person in the manner it has preserved the life of Muhammad, who is the most influential human in history.
Nor has the entire earth known of anyone whom every morning and evening, and many times thereafter throughout the day, is thought of by those who believe in him. Upon remembering Muhammad, the believers in him will greet him and ask Allah to bless him. They do such with full hearts and true love for him.
7. Nor has there every been a man on earth whom is still followed in all his doings by those who believe in him.
Those who believe in Muhammad, sleep in the manner he slept; purify themselves (through ablution and ritual washing) in the manner he purified himself; and adhere to his practice in the way they eat, drink, and clothe themselves.
Indeed in all aspects of their lives, the believers in Muhammad adhere to the teachings he spread among them and the path that he traveled upon during his life.
During every generation, from his day till our time, the believers in this Noble Prophet have fully adhered to his teachings. With some, this has reached the degree that they desire to follow and adhere to the Prophet's way in his personal matters regarding which Allah has not sought of them to adhere to in worship. For example, some will only eat those specific foods or only wear those specific garments that the Messenger liked.
Let alone all that, all those who believe in Muhammad repeat those praises of Allah, special prayers, and invocations that he would say during each of his actions during day and night, like: what he would say when he greeted people, upon entering and leaving the house, entering and leaving the mosque, entering and leaving the bathroom, going to sleep and awaking from sleep, observing the new crescent, observing the new fruit on trees, eating, drinking, dressing, riding, traveling and returning from travel, etc.
Let alone all that, all those who believe in Muhammad fully perform-even to the minute detail-every act of worship-like prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage-as this Noble Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) taught and as he himself performed.
All of this allows those who believe in him, to live their lives in all aspects with this Noble Messenger as their example, as if he was standing before them, for them to follow in all their doings.
8. There has never been nor will there ever be a man anywhere upon this earth who has received such love, respect, honor, and obedience in all matters-small and large alike-as has this Noble Prophet.
9. Since his day, in every region of the earth and during every period, this Noble Prophet has been followed by individuals from all races, colors and peoples. Many of those who followed him were previously Christians, Jews, pagans, idolaters, or without any religion. Among those who chose to follow him, were those who were known for their sound judgment, wisdom, reflection, and foresight. They chose to follow this Noble Prophet after they witnessed the signs of his truthfulness and the evidences of his miracles. They did not choose to follow Muhammad out of compulsion or coercion or because they had adopted the ways of their fathers and mothers.
Indeed many of the followers of this Prophet (may Allah's blessings peace be upon him), chose to follow him during the time when Islam was weak, when there were few Muslims, and when there was severe persecution of his followers on earth. Most people who have followed this Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) have done so not to acquire some material benefits. Indeed many of his followers have suffered the greatest forms of harm and persecution as a result of following this Prophet. Despite all this harm and persecution, this did not turn them back from his religion.
My brethren! All of this clearly indicates to anyone possessing any sense, that this Prophet was truly and really Allah's messenger and that he was not just a man who claimed prophethood or spoke about Allah without knowledge.
10. With all this, Muhammad came with a great religion in its credal and legal make-up.
Muhammad described Allah with qualities of complete perfection, and at the same time in a manner that is free of ascribing to Him any imperfection. Neither the philosophers or the wise could ever describe Allah like such. Indeed it is impossible to imagine that any human mind could conceive of an existing being that possesses such complete ability, knowledge, and greatness; Who has subdued the creation; Who has encompassed everything in the universe, small or large; and Who possesses such perfect mercy.
Nor is it in the ability of any human being to place a perfect law based upon justice, equality, mercy and objectivity for all human activity on earth like the laws that Muhammad brought for all spheres of human activity - like buying and selling, marriage and divorce, renting, testimony, custody, and all other contracts that are necessary to uphold life and civilization on earth.
11. It is impossible that any person conceive wisdom,, morals, good manners, nobleness of characters as what this honorable Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) brought.
In a full and complete manner, Muhammad spread a teaching regarding character and manners toward one' parents, relatives, fiends, family, humanity, animals, plants and inanimate objects. It is impossible for the human mind alone to grasp all of that teaching or come with a similar teaching.
All of that unequivocally indicates that this Messenger did not bring an) of this religion from his own accord, but that it was rather a teaching and inspiration that he received from the One Who created the earth and the high heavens above and created this universe in its miraculous architecture and perfection.
12. The legal and credal make-up of the religion that the Messenger, Muhammad, (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) brought resembles the engineering of the heavens and the earth. All of that indicates that He who created the heavens and the earth is the One Who sent down this great law and upright religion.
The degree of inimitability of the Divine law that was sent down upon Muhammad is to the same degree of inimitability of the Divine creation of the heavens and earth. For just as humanity cannot create this universe, in the same manner humanity cannot bring forth a law like Allah's law that He sent down upon His servant and messenger Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him).

Ahle Sunnah Aqeeda of Bidah - Information On Islam Religion

In simple words, Bidahs are of two types (i.e. Good ones and Bad ones).

All newly introduced matters, that were in conformity with the principles of religion, were not labelled as Bidah's of misguidance by Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam). These were acts of guidance and Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam) promised for great rewards for them.

Jarir bin Abdullah reported:
Allah's Messenger (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam) said: He who introduced some good practice in Islam which was followed after him (by people) he would be assured of reward like one who followed it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who introduced some evil practice in Islam which had been followed subsequently (by others), he would be required to bear the burden like that of one who followed this (evil practice) without theirs being diminished in any respect.
Sahih Muslim, Book 034, Number 6466

Introducing a good practice means that one can perform any act or ritual according to one's own OPINION, provided that the act / ritual / custom is in harmony with the principles of religion.

Salafi Aqeeda about Bidah
According to Salafies, all the newly begun matters (either they are good or bad) are Bidahs of Dhalalah.

I have some question regarding Salafi Aqeeda of Bidah.
Bidah and the Salafi Brotherss' Brothers double standards

Here is my first objection. I am sorry for this long post, but it is my habit to make things clear and as easy as possible.

Saying "Radhi Allahu Anhu" after the names of Sahaba
It is a common custom among Muslims to recite "Radhi AllahuTa-allah Anhu" after the names of Righteous Companions of Rasool Allah [sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam]
But Rasool Allah [sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam] never ordered that the later generations of Muslims to say "Radhi Allahu Anhu"whenever the names of Sahaba were mentioned.

Neither did the Sahaba used the term "Radhi Allaho Anho" after the names of each other nor did the Taba'een used to do this after the names of Sahaba. This was not the case with Daroof (Salwaath), in which they would always showers blessing and peace upon Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam) and his progeny whenever the name of Rasool Allah [sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam] was mentioned.
It was later Muslim generations, who introduced this custom for the first time, they did so according to their own OPINION, which is why they felt that it did not constitute a violation to any "Established Law of Islam" and found it in complete harmony with it's principles (even if it didn't exist in the time of Rasool Allah [salla lahu alaihi was' sallam]

I am not against the usage of "Radhi Allaho Anho". My only critique goes for usage of these words by Salafi brothers in terms of Bidah.

And we Sunni deem the Reward for this Muslim Generation, in the words of Rasool Allah [sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam]
"He who introduced some good practice in Islam which was followed after him (by people) he would be assured of reward like one who followed it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect."

Salafi Brothers double standards

If Salafi Brothers still believe that their definition is correct, then they must declare whole of the Muslim Ummah to be "Mubt'adi"(Innovator), indulged in "Dhalalah"(Misguided), who are the fuel of Hell fire, because the whole Ummah says "Radhi Allaho Anho" after the names of Sahaba (including Salafi Brothers themselves too).
But here Salafi Brothers come up with their Double Standards. Instead of condemning this act (as they should do according to their definition of bidah), they deem it to be a highly virtuous act.


For example, see the following comments by a Salafi Alim.

Saudi Government distributed millions of Qur'an in Pakistan with Urdu Translation and Tafseer (printed by Shah Fahad printing Complex in Madina). In the commentary of the last verse of Surah Al-Mujaddla:

"... it is a custom (i.e. not from Qur'an or Sunnah) to use "Radhi Allah Anham" for Sahaba and "Alaihim Salat o Salam" for the Prophets. It is the same like "Rehmat ullah alahi" can be literally used for both Alive and the dead..."


Not only have the Salafi Brothers embraced this newly introduced custom (contrary to their belief that every new thing is a Dhalalah), they have made another innovation by introducing another Law in the Sharia of Islam.

In the commentary of same verse, this Saudi Alim further continues to write:

"...According to the Ulama, except for the linguistic meaning, it is prohibited to use this (i.e. Phrase like Radhi Allaho Anho) for anyone except for Sahaba Karam..."


Do you know what this Salafi Brother wants to say when he wrote, "except for the linguistic meaning...."?. Let us give you an example. Linguistically, Salat means Prayer. But Shar'i meaning of Salat is praying in a manner that Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam) told us. Linguistically, "Saum" means holding on. But Shar'i meaning is not eating from sunrise till sun set.
The Salafi Brother has innovated a new Law in Shar'ia, by prohibiting something that has not been prohibited by Allah i.e. to prohibit the use "Radhi Allaho Anho" for anyone except the righteous companions of Rasool Allah [sallal lahu alaihi wa sallam]
This constitutes a major innovation of misguidance i.e. to prohibit any thing, that has not been prohibited by Allah and his beloved Rasool [sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam]

Note:
Salafi Brothers have 2 excuses for the innovation of saying "Radhi Allaho Anho" after the names of Sahaba:

Defence 1:
It's only a Dua for the Sahaba and we can do it any time (even after mentioning the name of Sahaba).

Reply:
If it is allowed to innovate new timings for doing Dua (e.g. after mentioning the names of Sahaba), then why do the Salafi Brothers claim that sending Salat (Darood) on Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam before Adhan is Bidah?
Salat (Darood) is an Arabic word, which itself means Dua.
Double standards!

Defence 2:
Allah (swt) said that he was pleased with Sahaba at Bait-e-Ridhwan.
Salafi Brothers claim that it's allowed to say "Radhi Allaho Anho" after the names of Sahaba while Allah (swt) revealed a verse at the occasion of Bait-e-Ridhwan, that He (swt) is well pleased with Sahaba under the tree.
Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance unto thee beneath the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down peace of reassurance on them, and hath rewarded them with a near victory;
Al-Qur'an Surah 48, Ayah 18 (Translation by Pickthal)

Reply:
In the above verse, Allah only told that He (swt) was pleased with "Certain ACTION" of Sahaba, who swore allegiance under the tree. But nowhere Allah ordered in above verse that the later coming Muslim Generations have to always says "Radhi Allaho Anho" whenever the names of Sahaba are mentioned.
Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam) also recited these Qur'anic verses, but he never came to this conclusion that Allah (swt) 's objective behind this verse was for coming Muslim generations to recite "Radhi Allaho Anho" after the names of Sahaba.

Even Sahaba who read the Qur'an never arrived at this conclusion.

It is indeed a mystery and to HOW Salafi Brothers have reached this conclusion. In my humble opinion, Salafi Brothers must acknowledge that it's a lame excuse and that saying "Radhi Allaho Anho" is an innovation by the later generation Muslims.

Secondly, if the presence of verse of Bait-e-Ridhwan is enough to say "Radhi Allaho Anho" whenever the names of Sahaba are mentioned, then why do the Salafi Brothers neglect the presence of the verse of sending Salat upon Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi wa sallam) in the Qur'an? Allah asked us to send Salat upon Rasool Allah (sallal lahu alaihi wa sallam).
Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.

When this is the case, why is it Bidah to send Salat upon Rasool Allah(sallal lahu alaihi was' sallam) before Adhan?
