Importance of Jumma

Jumma day is a Blessed Day, a day on which Hazrath Adam alayhis 'salam was born and so the Blessed day is know as Eid-ul-Momineen.

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala honoured Islam there with and gave glory to the Muslims. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says: when there is azan for the prayer on the Jumma day, run towards rememberence of ME and give up buy and sale. The Most Honourable Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has made compulsory on you on this day of mine and in this place of mine. The Most Honourable Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said: if a man loses three Jumas without any excuse, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala puts a seal in his mind. In another narration : He throws Islam on his back.

The Most Honourable Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam said:
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has made compulsory on you on this day of mine and in this place of mine.

May Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala grant us to be among those who lead a life in His path and who take every breath and the last with the word of testimony. Jummah Mubarak!

Ya Allah, increase my knowledge, and let this knowledge be with sincerity, not seeking fame, glory, status, material wealth. Let this knowledge serve Your cause in a way that You accept, and let it benefit humanity. Ameen

Ya Allah, Please help me stay away from Haram and Shaitan in achieving the best of this world. Ameen

Ya Allah, Don't let me ever turn away from You, no matter how many trials and difficulties You test me with. Let these difficulties serve to make me a stronger Muslim and more sincere to You. Ameen

Ya Allah, Lead us to the Right Path of the righteous. Jummah Mubarak.

General Wishes & Greetings for everyone

A Muslim is the brother to a Muslim who does not betray him, lie to him nor does he fail him in times of difficulty. Jumma Mubarak!

Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala is the One who favors us each drop of the water we drink and each bite of the food we eat. Jumma Mubarak!

Our Beloved Prophet Sallal Lahu Alaihi Wa Salam said, It is to be grateful by saying: “All praise and thanks be to Allah in all circumstances”. Have a blessed Jumaah!

Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala is the healer of illnesses. He blesses the suffering with remedies. He is the help to the helpless, hope to the hopeless. It is our duty to trust in Him only. It is to endure illness and calamity with patience, fortitude and submission; knowing that they are trials for us. Jummah Mubarak!

Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala is the sole owner of life and death. He is the One who gives life, and who is going to take it when the time comes. Our Lord is going to revive us after we die. He is going to question us for our actions. He is going to give everyone what they exactly deserve. Our task is to stay true to our faith to the very last breath. It is to make our life blessed with righteous deeds. It is to be ready for death and the day of judgment at all times. Jumma Mubarak!

Allah the Exalted enjoins: “O you who believe! Fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow.” Jummah Mubarak!

Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala knows what your silent heart wants, even if you don’t include it in your prayers. He hears what your heart whispers. He may not give it to you now but someday, when you least expect it, things will happen in the best possible way. Jummah Mubarak my dear friends, sisters and brothers.

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean itself does not become dirty. Jumma Mubarak!

Pray to Allah Subhan Wa Ta'ala sincerely believing it will be answered. Allah (SWT) does not respond to prayers from a frivolous and indifferent heart. Jumma Mubarak.

SPECIAL DUA AND WAZAAIF

SPECIAL DUA AND WAZAAIF

SPECIAL DUA AND WAZAAIF

Please recite Darood Shareef thrice before and after all Du’as and Wazaa’if.

A. When one is in fear, or stressed and worried, the following Du’a should be read. This Du’a will assist you as it will give you peace of the mind and the heart. The Du’a is:

"Ya Allah, Ya Rahmaan, Ya Raheem, Dille Maara, Kun Mustqeem, Bahaqqe Iyya Ka Na'budu wa Iyya Ka Nasta'een, Wa Bahaqqe, Taa Haa wa Yaaseen, wa Bahaqqe Alaa bi zikrillahi tatma'inul Quloob, wa Bi Haqqe La Hawla wa Laa Quwatta illa Billahil Aliyil Azeem, Wa Tawakaltu alal Laahi Hasbunallahu Wa ne'mal Wakeel, Ne'mal Mowlaa wa Neman Naseer."

B. To free oneself from calamities and illnesses, one should read the following Du’a:

* "Fa Sah'hil Yaa Ilaahi Qulla Sa'bin, Bi Hurmati Sayyidil Abraari Sah'hil."

*"Yaa Rasoolalaahi Unzur Haalana, Yaa Habeeballahi Isma Qaalana, Innani Fi Bahre Hamim Mughraqun, Khuz Yadi Sahil lana Ishkaalana."

* "Li Khamsatin Utfi biha Haral Wabaa'il Haatima, Al Mustapha wal Mutadha wabnaahuma wal Faatima."

* "Ilaahi Bahaqqe Bani Fathima, ke bar qawl Imaa Kunni Khaatima, Agar Daawatam rad Kunni war Qubool, Mano Daste Daamaane Aale Rasool"

* "Ilaahi Bahaqqe Muhammad Rasool, Gunah Maaf kar ke du’aa kar Qubool"

C. Durood-e-Radawiyyah is a special Durood that should be read 100 times after Jummah Salaah. One should face Madinah Shareef with one’s hands folded in complete respect. The recitation of this Durood is a means of gaining great reward and blessing in this world and in the Hereafter. The Durood is as follows:

* "Sallal laahu alan Nabiyyil Umiyyi Wa Aalihi Sallal laahu Alaihi wasallam Salaataw was Salaaman Alaika Yaa Rasoolallah"

D. Panj Ganj Qaaderiyah (Five Treasures Of The Qaaderi Order):

* After Salaatul Fajr: “Yaa Azeezu Yaa Allahu” 100 times
* After Zohar Salaah: “Yaa Kareemu Yaa Allah” 100 times
* After Asr Salaah: “Yaa Jab'baaru Yaa Allah” 100 times
* After Maghrib Salaah: “Yaa Sat'taaru Ya Allah” 100 times
* After Esha Salaah: “Yaa Ghafaaru Yaa Allah” 100 times

E. Bismillah Shareef : If one wishes to be free from hardships and if one wishes to gain success, one should perform Wudhu, and then recite 1 000 times Bismillah. After this read two Rakaats of Nafil Salaah. Then, read abundant Durood Shareef and make Du'a in abundance. Continue this proceedure again and again until one has recited Bismillah 12 000 times and completed 24 Rakaats of Salaah in total, meaning that every time one reads the 1 000 Bismillahs, he should make two Rakaats of Nafil Salaah. On completion of this Wazaa’if, one should make Du’a in the Court of Almighty Allah, through the mediation of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Insha-Allah, one’s Du’a will be accepted. It is also preferable that in the first Rakaat one should recite Ayatul Kursi, and in the second Rakaat Surah Ikhlaas (Qul Huwallah).

F. Advice of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) : Once The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said to Sayyiduna Ali (radi Allahu anhu): “Do five things before going to bed at night, that is,

a. Give four thousand Dinars Sadqa,
b. Read one entire Holy Quran,
c. Fulfill the right of Heaven,
d. Fake peace between two people fighting, and
e. Perform one Hajj.” '

Hazrat Ali (radi Allahu anhu) said, "O Prophet of Allah, this is very difficult for me." The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) then said,

a. “Read four times Surah Faatiha, and you shall gain the Sawaab of giving four thousand Dinars in charity,

b. Read Surah Ikhlaas (Qul Huwallah) thrice, and you will gain the Sawaab of reciting one Holy Quran,

c. Recite Durood Shareef thrice, and you will gain the Sawaab of Jannah;

d. Recite Astaghfirullah Rabbi min Qulli Zambyu Wa Aatubu Ilaih ten times, and you will gain the reward of making peace between two people fighting, and

e. Recite the third Kalima (Subhaanallahi Wal Humdu lillahi Wa Laa Ilaha Ilal laahi Allahu Akbar Wa Laa Hawla Wa laa Quwata Illa Bil laahil Aliyil Azeem) four times and you will gain the reward of making Hajj."

On hearing these words, Hazrat Ali (radi Allahu anhu) said: "As from this day onwards, I will always follow this practice."

G. Faizaan-e-Ghaus-e-Azam: A'la Hazrat (radi Allahu anhu) wrote in his "Fatawa Razvia" that there are 11 names from amongst the names of Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam (radi Allahu anhu) that are a means of gaining blessings and freedom from hardships. If these names are recited during calamities, illness or in one’s home and business then the reciter will gain much benefit. These names are as follows:-

Istikhara Namaz Ka Tarika, Niyat and Istikhara Dua

Istikhara Namaz Ka Tarika, Niyat and Istikhara Dua

Istikhara Namaz, Niyat and Istikhara Dua - इस्तिखारा नमाज का तारिका

How to perform Istikhara Namaz? What is the Niyat of Istikhara Salat? What is the Istikhara Dua? Learn how to perform and pray Istikhara Namaz with Istikhara Dua in English, Urdu and Arabic. Explained here with steps by steps method to ask Allah for guidance by praying 2 Rakats of Nafl  Salat-l-Istikhara also called prayer for guidance

Istikhara Namaz, Niyat and Istikhara Dua - इस्तिखारा नमाज का तारिका

How to perform Istikhara Namaz with Istikhara Dua?

It has been quoted in the Hadiths that when a person makes an intention for something then he should pray two Rakats Nafl.

In the first Rakat after Alhamdo pray 'QuI Yaa Ayyuhal Kafiroon' and in the second Rakat after Alhamdo pray 'QuI Huwallaho Ahad' and then pray the following Dua and with Wuzu face the Qibla and go to sleep.

At the beginning of the Dua and at the end, pray Sureh Fathiha and Durood Sharif.

The Dua is as follows:

"Allahumma innee astakheeroka be-ilmeka wa astaqderoka be-qudrateka wa as-aluka min fadleka al-Azeeme fa-innaka taqderu wa laa aqderu wa ta-lamu wa laa aa-lamu wa anta allamu al-guyoob. Allahumma in kunta ta-lamu anna haza al-amra khairun lee fee deenee wa ma-aashee wa aa-qebate amree faqdurhu lee wa yasserhu lee summa barek lee feehe wa in kunta ta-lamu anna haza al-amra sharrun lee fee deenee wa ma-aashee wa aa-qebate amree fasrifhu annee wasrifnee anhu waqdur leya al-khaira haysu kaana summa ardhinee behe."

In this supplication instead of the words “haza al-amra” mention your need or just think about it. It is better to perform Istikharah seven times, for it is mentioned in one Hadith: “O Anas !! When you intend any matter, seek to know its suitability from your Lord seven times – then reflect upon what transpires in your heart, indeed that only is better.”

The time for Istkharah lasts up to the time one’s heart gets convinced upon one decision.

When should Istikhara be done ?
1) There is no Istikhara for pious actions such as Hajj, Jihad etc. However, you can perform Istikhara to designate a fixed time for them [Guniya].

2) It is better to perform Istakhara at least seven times and then see wherever your conscience is fixed that is what is best for you. Many pious Buzrukhs say that if you see whiteness or greenery in your dreams then it is good and if you see darkness or redness then it is a bad thing and you should stay away from it [Radd-ul-Mohtar].

Ghusl after intercourse in Islam - Cleanliness in Islam

Ghusl after intercourse in Islam - Cleanliness in Islam

Ghusl after intercourse in Islam - Cleanliness in Islam

Question: After doing intercourse, Can we just clean ourselves and take bath or is Ghusl necessary?

Answer:

Islam is a religion of cleanliness and purity and also ask every Muslim to be clean always. The person after having intercourse is in a state of impurity and can must clean and purifies himself or herself by taking Ghusl

Quran says "O you who believe … If you are in a state of major impurity, cleanse yourselves well (by taking a bath), … or you have had sexual contact with women …" (Qur'an 5:6)

Ghusl after intercourse in Islam - Cleanliness in Islam

In Ghusl (Islamic Bath) there are three mandatory actions of Ghusl:

1. To rinse the mouth
2. To rinse the nose
3. To wash the entire body

It is important to note that:

• All areas of the body are thoroughly washed with water. The inner part of the circumcised area must also be washed provided it can be opened without any difficulty.

• The inner part of the navel is washed.

• The inside of a cavity which has not sealed is washed.

• Water must reach the skin underneath the beard, moustache and eyebrows.

• To ensure that water reaches the external part of the vagina.

Hazrat Ali Radi AllahAnhu stated, "The one who leaves out the area of a hair's span of filth from ritual impurity, without washing it, will be dealt with severely in the hellfire” (Sunan Abu Dawud)

Ibn Abbas (RA) said, “When a person with ritual impurity takes a bath and forgets to rinse his mouth and nose, he should redo the cleaning of the mouth and nose.” (al-Daraqutni)

Method Of Bathing

The method of bathing is as follows:

Perform the intention of bathing (Ghusl) then first of all wash the hands upto the wrists three times.
Then wash the private parts, whether there is any impurity stuck on them or not.
Then wash any part of the body which has impurity stuck on it.
Then perform Wuzu as performed in Namaz but do not wash the feet. However, if you are sat on a stool or a stone etc. then wash the feet also.
Then rub water into the body as you would rub oil.
Then wash the right hand shoulder three times.
Then wash the left hand shoulder three times.
Then wash the head and all of the body three times.
Then move away from the place of bathing and if you did not wash the feet when performing Wuzu, wash them now.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Basant Panchami Celebration - History

Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Basant Panchami Celebration - History

Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Basant Panchami Celebration - History
The dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Rahamatullah Allai in Delhi observes the festival of Basant Panchami in its own unique way. The story goes that once the saint was grieving the demise of his nephew.

Unable to see his spiritual master in grief, Amir Khusro started wondering how to cheer up the Auliya when he noticed that a lot of people were wearing yellow in the village of Ghiyaspur (older name of Nizamuddin). Khusro asked people about it and was told about the festival of Basant Panchami.

Khusro immediately dressed as a woman in yellow clothes and went to dance and sing in front of Hazrat Nizamuddin. This gesture of Amir Khusro brought a smile on the face of the saint and since then Basant Panchami has been celebrated in his khanqah and dargah.

Only on this occasion, which falls on February 12 this year, are qawwali singers allowed perform inside the shrine of the Sufi saint.

These lyrics in the Purbi dialect of Hindi are sung in the Hindustani Raga Bahar and herald the beginning of basant, or spring. The song is sung on the eve of Basant Panchami, as part of festivities marking the occasion. This year it falls on Feburary 12 and will be celebrated at the dargah in New Delhi of the Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya. This is situated in the capital's Nizamuddin West, area, and is very close to Humayun’s Tomb, which is in Nizamuddin East.

How did Basant Panchami come to be celebrated at this dargah? The story goes back to the time of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, who lived from 1238 to 1325, after whom the dargah was named. Nizamuddin Auliya was a saint of the Chistiya silsila, one of four major Sufi orders in India. It was started by Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, whose dargah is in Ajmer in Rajasthan. Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki, popularly called Qutub Sahab, whose dargah is in Mehrauli, a locality in southwest Delhi, succeeded him. Baba Farid, whose dargah is in Pakpattan in Pakistan's Punjab province, succeeded Kaki, and Baba Farid was succeeded by Hazrat Nizamuddin.

He believed that saints needed to have ishq (love), aql (wisdom) and ilm (knowledge.) He used them all in generous measure. Although he lies buried close to many emperors and noblemen from the medieval ages, his dargah attracts more visitors and devotees than the other tombs.

The legend

Altamash Nizami, a direct descendant of Nizamuddin Auliya who is part of the dargah committee, told me a story about the origin of Basant celebrations there. Hazrat Nizamuddin did not have children but was deeply attached to his sister’s son, Khwaja Taqiuddin Nuh. But an illness took Khwaja Nuh away from this world, which immensely saddened the saint, who grieved over the loss for a long time.

His followers, particularly Hazrat Amir Khusrau, longed to see him smile once again. One day, Khusrau saw a group of village women dressed in yellow, carrying mustard flowers and singing on the road near the Khwaja’s chilla-khanqah, a retreat where he had spent his life reaching out to people, which is located behindHumayun’s tomb. Khusrau asked the women where they were going dressed like this. The women replied that they were going to the temple to offer flowers to their god. Khusrau then asked them whether this would make their god happy. When they said it would, Khusrau immediately dressed up in a yellow saree, and carrying mustard flowers, went before the saint singing sakal ban phool rahi sarson.

Recognising his favourite disciple and amused by his costume and song, the saint finally broke into a smile. This was commemorated as an occasion for rejoicing, and since then his followers have celebrated the onset of Basant by dressing up in yellow, carrying mustard flowers and singing qawwali.

Urs of  Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) is celebrated every year in the first week of Rajab, on seeing the moon of Rajab, the seventh month of the Islamic calendar. On the appearance of the moon for the month of Rajab, there comes a change in daily routine which is generally held at the Holy Shrine. The main entrance of the Holy Tomb which in ordinary days is closed at night, is kept open through out the day and night (barring for 2 or 3 hours at night) during the six days of Urs. All other daily and weekly programmes are suspended and few functions and ceremonies commence from that night.
